Emily Bell - Violin

Emily Bell was born in 2006 into a musical family in Berlin. Inspired by her musical environment, she started playing the violin from the young age of 3.

She began her violin education with the Suzuki Method, being mentored by the Japanese violin teachers Yoko and Satoko Hoshino. From 2015 Emily was taught by Prof. Wolfgang Rausch in Dortmund before joining Elda Teqia’s violin class at the Folkwang music school in Essen in 2017. In 2021 Emily was accepted into the pre-college academy at the music college in Münster where she received lessons from Prof. Koh Gabriel Kameda. In 2024 she received her pre-college graduation certificate, while also graduating from high school.

Since 2013, Emily has taken part numerous times in the German annual youth competition “Jugend Musiziert” and has consistently won 1st prizes on regional and state level in the solo category as well as a 2nd prize on the national level. In the summer of 2023 Emily was accepted into the National Youth Orchestra of Germany. She has since taken part in many exciting projects including a UK Tour in Winter 2025 which became the highlight of her orchestra experience.

Apart from her musical life, Emily has a passion for languages, travelling, discovering different cultures and baking.
